Shopping With Brands That Are Doing Good in the World

Have you ever heard the quote, “You vote with your dollar.” It’s one of my all time favorites! I think about it every time I make an ethical or unethical purchase. I know that where I spend my money matters. If I spend my money intentionally, it can contribute to making this world a better place.

I want to note, I am not a perfect shopper. That being said, here are some brands that are giving back to the world and can make you feel good knowing that your purchase at their store is contributing something positive back into the world. Since I love hitting, “add to cart,” I’ll include a few of my favorite items below!

The House of LR&C

Gives back 3% of all profits to the charity they’ve created. Ciara & Russell Wilson founded brand house!

Prosperity Candles

Each candle is ethically handmade by women artisans and refugees creating a brighter future in the U.S.

BLQK Coffee

25% of profits go towards social justice.

Mable

For every toothbrush Mable sells, the company donates a toothbrush to a child in the U.S. and teaches schools about personal hygiene and sustainability.

The Little Market

You can shop by cause at The Little Market! This is an incredible feature on the site.

Tilma

Works with local artisans to create ethically & sustainably made pieces. Donates 5% of profits toward the communities of each of their artisans.

Birdy Grey

The company makes it easy for customers to mail their dresses back to be donated to The Princess Project which provides free prom dresses to high school students who otherwise couldn’t afford them.

Ben & Jerry’s

Donates 7.5% of its annual profits to philanthropy by offering grants and supporting grassroots efforts to fight for social justice.

Third Love

Partners with Good360, I Support the Girls, and more organizations to donate its comfortable bras to women in need. It has donated more than $40 million of bras to date, and in the past, it has also donated a bra to a California wildfire victim for every bra purchased

Thrive Market

A place to shop natural and organic products for less, offers a one-for-one membership program. That means that every paid membership gives a free one to someone in need!

Parachute

For every Venice percale bedding set sold at Parachute, it donates one malaria-prevention bed net in partnership with the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign.

Lets inspire each other.

My goal is to create a space where we can connect, share stories, make new friends, find advice and grow together.
